A Large Manufacturer which is World Wide selling Machines with embedded TSX-PREMIUM PLCs of Schneider Electric was looking for a solution for remotely accessing its Unitelway equipments via Internet in order to perform investigations.

The requirement was to be able to use PL7 PRO from any remote location whilst minimizing the communication costs.

ACT'L, a member of the Schneider Electric Technology Partners Program since 2002, offered eWON4001 as a all-in-one standard solution enabling the use of any TCP/IP route (LAN, Modem Dial Up, Internet Call-Back) and providing a transparent access from XIP to Unitelway as well as Modbus TCP to Modbus RTU.

Further to the remote access, the eWON range of products is ideal to implement a local intelligence which is able to retrieve information from many types of PLCs without having to change the PLC program. Alarm Management with automatic SMS notification as well as daily reporting within Excel files attached to Emails were also configured in the eWON4001.
